What is the Epilepsy Brain Storm Summit? The Epilepsy Brain Storm Summit is an annual conference of the Epilepsy Foundation of Greater Los Angeles held during November Epilepsy Awareness Month. Experts present on epilepsy treatment and research and other topics of interest to individuals affected by epilepsy, their families and other medical professionals. Panels and workshops provide opportunities to ask questions and share ideas.
Where is the Epilepsy Brain Storm Summit held? The Summit is held at the Center at Cathedral Plaza at the site of one of Los Angeles' newest landmarks, the Cathedral of Our Lady of Angels. The Cathedral Plaza Conference Center is located on Temple, between Grand and Hill Streets in downtown Los Angeles. The address is 555 West Temple Street, Los Angeles, California 90012.
When is the Epilepsy Brain Storm Summit? As always, the Summit will be taking place during the November Epilepsy Awareness Month. This year's Summit well be held in English and Spanish on Saturday, November 14, 2009. View the periodically updated Program Schedule for specific times regarding registration and sessions.
When will the program be finalized? The Foundation will optimize this educational opportunity for you! This may mean altering the schedule to fit in a last minute speaker or replace a speaker. All sesions and workshops and their times are subject to change. You will be receiving a Program Schedule upon registration and check-in the day of the conference. Also, the most current Program Schedule will always be posted on the conference's official web site, www.EpilepsyBrainStormSummit.kintera.org.
How much does registration cost? Registration is $20 per person or $30 for two family members or attendees driving together. The Fee helps to cover refreshments, Syllabus & Tribute Book, and Parking. We strongly encourage advanced registration by November 6, 2009. Late and onsite registration may be increased by $5 per person.
Are scholarships available to help cover the cost of registration? Yes, Summit partial-scholarships are available! The Foundation does not want the registration fee to keep anyone from attending the Summit. If you our your child is a Regional Center client, your registration fee can be paid directly by the Regional Center to the conference provider, the Epilepsy Foundation of Greater Los Angeles. Please provide Summit information to your Regional Center and request support for the Registration Fee. The Epilepsy Foundation also offers partial scholarships to non-Regional Center clients. Please note we will ask you to submit in writing a request for a partial scholarship, which can be done by email or mail.

What is the Tribute Book? The Summit Syllabus & Tribute Book is an opportunity to remember or honor someone with epilepsy. Please make a donation to recognize someone special and pass along a message of hope and inspiration to others. Contact the Foundation for more information on how you can make a tax-deductible gift to recognize someone in the Summit Tribute Book.
How do I register for the Summit?

Where do I park? Parking is convenient and easy, located directly under the Conference Center ad Cathedral Plaza. Entrance to the parking structure is located off both Hill and Temple Street. A security guard is posted at the entrance to assist in parking instructions. The cost of parking is included in your registration fee. You will receive your parking validation prior to leaving the conference and upon submitting your completed conference evaluation.
How do I get to the Cathedral Plaza Conference Center? The

Metrolink trains from throughout the region arrive at Union Station, and connect with the Metro Redline. From the Redline, exit at the Civic Center stop, located half a block from the Cathedral. The Redline may also be used from North Hollywood, and connected with the Metro Blueline train from Long Beach.
